And just like that...
...we have survived the chaos of October (wedding, school, dance, soccer, homeschool meetups, Halloween, the end of DAYLIGHT SAVINGS) and so much more.
October was so, so busy. The month that I thought was not going to be, of course was. It seems it always works that way. But the good news is that it was also fun, and we are on the other side and through the first week in November (how?).
I swear that getting older is simply saying "HOW did that go by so fast?" over and over again.
Don't be fooled by the glitter. Some days I sit for a second and wonder how. How is this all happening? Being a single mom is the hardest thing I've ever done. To be the one person responsible for everything for 3 other humans is a constant weight.
Emotionally, physically, financially. It's a LOT.
The one person
remembering the events
the schooling
to grab the toilet paper
make dinner
collect the eggs
run the washer
put gas in the car
drive everyone around
talk through issues
break up fights
put everyone to bed
make sure that everyone showered
the house is clean, etc.
You get the picture.
As I've said before. I am truly so grateful for the support system that I have because without it I would drown. They really do keep me afloat some days.
On a less serious note. The kiddos are looking forward to the holidays. Thanksgiving and all things Christmas. They particularly want snow, which, after last year, I am fine doing without. Okay. I kid, we can get a couple inches, and it can melt the next day. I'm fine with that.
Enjoy a ton of random photos from our busy October. I'm off to start my morning (it's 6am here), and that means refueling with coffee.
Happy Friday!
