This little life

We've officially hit the cold months here, and the gloomy November days are here in full force. While not my least favorite month, I really don't like November. It's cold, and dark, and the days are so short. All things I deeply dislike. 

On the upside, I do like Thanksgiving, and I love a chance to think of all that I have to be thankful for. True, some years that list has been shorter than others, but still, there is always something. 

This year, in no particular order, I am Thankful For: 

• Healthy children
• Happy children
• Good food
• A warm, safe home
• Cozy beds
• Family that loves, supports, and is always there
• Sunday Family dinners and watching football games
• My chooks and ducks
• Hot coffee
• A little boy who loves to play dinosaurs with me
• Our homeschool group, which we love to hang out with, and that supports our homeschooling journey
• The ocean. Even in the cold of Fall and Winter, she is lovely
• Did I mention hot coffee? Coffee is life
• Garden goodness that keeps on giving (thanks to freezers, drying, and canning)
• Colorful leaves
• Twinkle lights
• Aquarium trips (it's nice to live down the road from one)
• Small people who cook in the kitchen with me
• A job that I love (nothing better than NOT dreading work every day)
• Fun Halloween costumes 
• Sangria and tacos and a good book (perfect combo)
• Speaking of books, books that allow me to escape for just a bit into another world
• Library days
• Sunny afternoons at the playground 
• COSTCO pizza and hot dogs with the minions
