oh, hey, October

It's already another new month and we are rapidly moving toward the end of the year. I thought I'd post another random, old-style blog post, complete with lots of photos, since the last one was such a hit. 

We've been settling into our Fall/Winter rhythm here. The garden has slowly been cleaned out and leaves are falling in the backyard. We decorated for Halloween, have been reading spooky books and watching scary movies and everyone is planning their costumes. We are also in the process of planning our annual Halloween party, so that's fun. 

Now that the weather has cooled off we have been taking more walks again and enjoying adventures with our homeschool group (this photo above and the two below).

The chickens and ducks are still laying like crazy and we have SO many eggs. Send all the egg recipes my way, because we need to use them up!

We don't really have any weekend plans over here. Saturday is looking like rain, and we have football on Sunday, but otherwise not too much going on (which is just fine by me).
