November

“November comes
And November goes,
With the last red berries
And the first white snows.

With night coming early,
And dawn coming late,
And ice in the bucket
And frost by the gate.

The fires burn
And the kettles sing,
And earth sinks to rest
Until next spring.”

Elizabeth Coatsworth

Every November I think of that poem. My mom used to sing it to us all the time and it's one of my favorites.

I can't believe that the month is almost over-already! We just celebrated Thanksgiving (I'll post those photos some other day) and we had a SUPER fun Halloween.  Now everything is full-steam ahead for Christmas. We are decorating and getting out tree tomorrow, and I've already started some Christmas shopping.

It's been its usual warm, rainy month, and while the kiddos are hoping for snow it's probably not happening any time soon (we get it more in January/February).

One more week of school and then we take off the month of December and just enjoy the festivities, guilt-free. The kids can't wait!

Baby Lawrence is getting SO big! He's crawling, and rolling and standing now. He had his 6-month check-up and weighed in at a whopping 19 lbs!

Have a wonderful weekend!
