Sunday Morning

Despite the fact that I would love it, we don't sleep in around here on Sunday mornings. Piper Mae doesn't know the difference between my 6 AM weekday rising, and a lazy Saturday or Sunday, and pops up bright and early every day.

We curl up on the couch together and usually turn on a show (today it is Little House on The Prairie). The sun rises and Adri comes to join us. I open my computer and take care of a couple work things, and grab a cup of coffee, or hot tea.

As the morning wakes we slowly stir. Piper has now moved to the floor to play with Barbies, and in a few minutes, we'll have our weekly Mario Kart tournament.

While shopping yesterday I grabbed a big beef roast and I plan on tossing it in the crockpot with carrots, onions, mushrooms, and potatoes for dinner.

We'll probably go over to visit my dad and sisters for a bit later this morning, before coming back to relax for the afternoon.

Sundays are our lazy days and we love them. I love the feeling of re-charging before we head into the busy work/school week ahead.

“Cheers to Sunday. Snuggle by the fire, read a good book, have a hot cup of coffee (or two), watch an old movie, relax and enjoy the day.”
