A Warm Day In February

We had a heat wave here that past couple days. The sun came out and it warmed up to 65 degrees! I took the girls outside and we stomped in puddles, played in the melting snow, soaked up the sunshine, went for a walk and grilled out for dinner!

Now it's back to a chilly 25 degrees and snowing today. Boo hoo! It was nice to have warm for even a few days though, it was like a promise that Spring is right around the corner.

We are making plans for the weekend. It looks like we may be going on our annual weekend-away. We rent a hotel room, go out to dinner, and do a bunch of fun (to us) stuff. Since we have the girls with us I'm also thinking we may try to fit in a trip to the zoo this time as well.  Adri's been talking about how much she wants to go to it again lately.
