sometimes I run out of post titles
Just keeping it real here. Thinking up a blog post title even a few times a week is pretty difficult. Sometimes I just want to put the date there and leave it at that. Not sure if that would work though...
So, the weekend: Adam worked Saturday morning, came home and then I took the girls for a quick run to town. Wesley and Claire came over with their kiddos to visit for the afternoon and have dinner. Sunday they headed back to Connecticut for a week and then are coming back up here to stay through until Thanksgiving.
Sunday the babes woke me up super early (thanks, Daylight Savings!), so we got up, hung out, had breakfast, and let Adam sleep in. Later in the morning I took Adri up to Wesleytown so that she could go to church with my family, then came home to get Adam so we could go to town and get him a new phone (time for an upgrade). Verizon was busy and we had a super fussy baby, so after waiting over 45 minutes we decided to return some other time and left-without a new phone. Home again we watched a movie and ate lunch before I went to pick Adri back up.
Once I got home Adam made meatloaf for dinner, I introduced Adri to The Grinch, and feed Piper and gave her a bath. The girls passed out right at 7pm (thanks again, Daylight Savings!), and Adam and I got to spend some more time hanging out.
Since Piper has been born we have had little to none time spent together without two clamoring wee ones so getting so much alone time in one day was pretty fantastic.
Side note. I didn't take one single photo all weekend. Not one. I went to write a post and realized there were no new photos on my camera or phone. That hasn't happened in a very long time.
HOW is it already almost Thanksgiving? What happened to the year? It flew by. I can't believe in just a few weeks it's going to be 2018!
Okay. I have a busy day planned. Actually, it's going to be a busy week. Today I have all the catch-up from the weekend, I have emails to answer, two posts to shoot photos for, and work at the library later today. This week we have to winterize the house (before it snows), clean the garage, Piper has a doctor's appointment tomorrow, and we have to take the truck to get new tires on it.
Yup. Lots of unexciting mom/adult-type things planned for the week. But all so necessary, right?
Have a wonderful Monday!
