July 4th, 2017
What a wonderful Fourth of July we had! Everyone arrived at the campground on Monday afternoon, set up camp, grilled food, and hung out.
On the morning of the Fourth we woke early (oh, hey, sleeping outside!), and had bacon and eggs cooked over the campfire. Why is it that coffee tastes so much better when had sitting in a chair, listening to the birds?
We went to the other part of the campground (where we had rented a pavilion) and started grilling the chicken and setting things up. More family arrived, we feasted, went swimming, and played games.
Later on during the day we made s'mores, ate more food, and set off a couple fireworks (although in the end we waited for the next day to set the rest off, due to the fact that we were at the campground).
Now we are back home. I've been catching up on work, cleaning the house, and washing the mountain of laundry that accumulated.
We all took tons of pictures, so I'll just leave them below and let you get a little glimpse of the great time we had.
Fun!
ReplyDeleteLooks like good memories were made, and what great fun! Beautiful camping spot.
ReplyDeleteYour parents look so happy. They must be so proud to be around all their family. Also, I love the photo of Adam getting cuddled by your little bro. And, especially, I love the photos of Adri swimming. She looks so cute in her new suit. Happy Independence Day. Love you.
