a day in the life: winter edition
Last year I wrote a couple "day in the life" posts and I thought it might be fun to post a "winter" edition. Here's what, for the most part, our daily routine looks like these days.
8am--I wake up. Adri is still sleeping, which is pretty much unheard of these days since she usually wakes at 6am on the dot.
See? Still passed out. She spends most of the night in her bed but at some point during the wee hours of the morning wakes up and I move her in with us.
8:30am--I drink hot tea, answer emails, post the daily blog post, and try to get a little work done. Gerber wanted to partner with me to write about (and sample) a formula they have and I had to write back and say "thank-you, but I breastfeed AND my child is just about weaned". It was kinda funny.
9am--Adri wakes up, I change her diaper and get her in the highchair with breakfast, which is always cheerios and milk. Every single day.
And there's breakfast for me too. Lately I've been craving avocado on toast and it's the best.
9:30am--After breakfast we start cleaning the house. There was sunshine yesterday and it was SO nice. After cleaning Adri and I play with toys, read, and just hang out. Oh, and she gets dressed somewhere in between there.
12pm--Lunchtime. I have a big salad that's filled with chickpeas, mushrooms, hard boiled eggs and leftover rotisserie chicken from the night before. Adir eats a little of what I have and some crackers.
1pm--Adri goes down for her nap and I work on answering some last few emails and then read for a bit.
2:20pm--Adam gets home early from work, Adri wakes up, and we all hang out.
3:30pm--I make a pot of bacon potato chowder for dinner, suddenly decided that's not what I want (and set it aside for tomorrow's dinner) and make a pizza instead. #pregnancy
4:30pm--I get ready for work and get Adri settled down with a snack.
5pm-8pm--work work work.
8pm--Home again. I nurse Adri to sleep, Adam and I watch a couple episodes of Last Man Standing and then we all head to bed (early risers here).
And that's it! Our day, in a nutshell.
I love the "day in the life" posts that you do. It's wonderful reading about ya'lls day. Thanks for sharing with us Rosie.

ReplyDeleteHi Amy, it's always nice to hear back from you guys on what posts you like the most (even though I might not get around to actually posting more of them, lol). The feedback is always a good thing ;)

Just wondering, since you have dinner at 3:30pm, if you have supper later on or do you go through until breakfast without eating anything else?
ReplyDeleteHi Naomi,
DeleteThat's a good question! We usually have a snack of some sort later in the evening (chips and salsa, fruit, or crackers and cheese). Sometimes I would just not eat again (especially in the summer when it's hot out), but lately with being pregnant there's no way that's going to happen ;)
Somebody's getting big!!!!!!! How you doing honey? Love you all xo
