Cranberry and Orange Garland Tutorial
This garland is not only cute but also super simple to make. I saw a bunch of pictures that folks had posted of their orange garlands and just knew I had to give it a try.
All you'll need is oranges, cranberries, a fat needle and thick/sturdy thread.
1. slice the oranges about 1/3 inch thick. Place in a 200 degree oven for about 3 hours or until completely dry. Make sure you are dehydrating and not cooking them!
2. thread your needle with a nice long piece of thread. If you use approximately 2 foot pieces you can always tie them together to make one nice long garland.
3. starting with cranberries thread a few on and then orange slices, alternating back and forth until they are all gone or your garland is as long as you want it to be.
That's it. Hang it up and you're all done!
I'm so glad you posted this! I've always wanted to know how to make it!:)

ReplyDeleteI love the garland...good job! I dry orange slices in the oven every year to hang on the tree. It's just not complete until the slices are on it!
