Words on Wednesday
"What are your choices? Whom are your choices for? Not just for yourself. Chose now whom you will serve, and that choice is going to affect the next generation, and the next generation, and the next. Choice never affects just one person alone. It goes on and on and the effect goes out into geography and history. You are part of history and your choices become part of history."
~Edith Schaeffer
Yes. How true.
ReplyDeleteChristina, YES! :)
DeleteI appreciate Edith Schaeffer very much. She was wise!
ReplyDeleteI know, I love her writings so much! :)
DeleteWise words indeed. When you are older, you can look back and see the results of choices. Even when younger, often you can look at other's who have lived longer and see them too.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth
Elizabeth, yes, so true!
DeleteWhat book is this from?
ReplyDeleteEmily, I'm honestly not sure. It's one of my favorite quotes by Edith, but I'm not sure from where. I have tried looking, and so far haven't had any luck--if you find out, please let me know! :)
DeleteYes, we are all connected...
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this.
