::~Of knitting, butter making, and walks....

The socks I have been knitting for some time are now done!
I think they have a rather Hobbit-y look to them...and I think they fix Joe very nicely!

Around Home

Our dairy farmer friend Matt kindly gave us a whole bunch of milk and cream-3 gallons of cream to be exact!

We have been busy shaking up lots of butter...

Julia making butter.

Jar Art.

The gathering circle...

Sophia, playing in the dolls houses.

Best of buds!
A walk to the nearby nature center....
"Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee."

Psalm 143

The tree hugger.

The tree climber.

The little ladies, again.

Aimaija, looking at a wolf that was there.

A neat tepee.

A loving big brother and his little sis.

Living Eternally

Sacrificial Living

"If you remain silent because what you say could be taken wrongly, you will never speak."
"He who has God and everything else has no more than he who has God and nothing else".
::C.S Lewis

"I rest in Christ alone. That is the only foundation secure enough to uphold me in the last day. I want to say that more often. I want to remember it every morning. Then I want Christ alone to inspire and empower me because I am no longer my own."
~Edward Welch
"God’s purpose for my life was that I have a passion for God’s glory and that I have a passion for my joy in that glory, and that these two are one passion."
"True virtue never appears so lovely as when it is most oppressed; and the divine excellency of real Christianity is never exhibited with such advantage as when under the greatest trials; then it is that true faith appears much more precious than gold, and upon this account is "found to praise and honor and glory."

“Resolution One: I will live for God. Resolution Two: If no one else does, I still will.”
Jonathan Edwards
“…there is nothing you can want, there is nothing you can ask for,
there is nothing you can need in time or in eternity,
there is nothing living, nothing dying,
there is nothing in this world, nothing in the next world,
there is nothing now, nothing at the resurrection-morning,
nothing in heaven
which is not contained in this text ~

“I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

Charles Spurgeon

  1. Rosie,

First of all, thank you for writing this wonderful blog, I love reading about your day to day.

Secondly, what is the pattern you use for the dresses. I adore the modestly and simplicity of them, perfectly feminine, even the ones on the little girls.

Hope you have a most blessed day.

  2. "If you remain silent because what you say could be taken wrongly, you will never speak."

This is where I find myself...I am asking the Lord to help me to not fear but to speak clearly the things He has laid on my heart...

    Thanks, Rosie!

  3. Reading about your home and family and all that you do makes me full of joy.

Jonathon Edward's quote reminded me of the biography of the marriage of he and his wife I read last year called Marriage to a Difficult Man.

Like any good biography, it made me feel like I came to know them and when I see his name written... I feel as if he is an old friend. :)

    Hugs to your dear mom.

  4. Rosie,

You bring such peace to all us readers...thank you.

I just love when you post pictures and let us know how you spend your days and such.

    Blessings to you,

  5. Thank you Rosie! Your links were very inspiring. I'd seen Living Eternally --I love Francis Chan--its such a great reminder. And I really enjoyed your other ones too. I love all of the quotes you share.
Keep posting! I like seeing pictures from your life.

  6. Another lovely visit. How I love coming by to your blog - you know, I only have a few minutes to spend online every day, yet I almost always make time for a visit. Love, Anna.
