~The end of January...
Well, it seems as if the first month of the new year is almost over and a cold, snowy one it has been.
Though I'm looking forward to spring and the warmth, there is beauty in the winter wonderland outside, and in the coziness and home life, inside.

One of my favorite things to do is curl up in front of the wood stove with a good book, or some knitting for the afternoon.

Board games are a must, with all the long, stay-in-doors-days
As is hot soup...
And fresh bread.
A sweet little dish washing helper....
~Lots of sewing happening.~
"Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.
Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.
Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.
He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD......
.....Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.
From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.
He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works......
....Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.
For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.
Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee"

Wishing you a beautiful Lord's Day!
Joyfully,

As always, love to see what y'all are up to. It may be cold and snowy now, but the sun will come. That bread and soup look really good! Much love to all - Raquel XOxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxxoxoxo
ReplyDeleteAlways look forward to your updates. All of your photos are a great RX for winter coziness. Our family is tackling the flu right now. We just finally got over the stomach bug and now it's the flu. Lots of chicken soup with garlic and elderberry syrup should have us all better soon. Blessings to you and your family.

I love all of the photos! And the soup and bread looks sooo good. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful and warm Sunday!
~Chelsea :)
Rosie, have you ever tried spinning? It's right up there with knitting and reading, and so cosy when you can sit beside to the fire with your wheel whirring away softly. I get the feeling it would be something you would love. We've just had days of 42C(108.5F) so I'm relishing the cold wintry day photos you post. I wonder whether it's logistically possible to send snow to poor overheated South Australians. ;)
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely. I can almost smell the soup and bread and hear the laughter.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,

I love Celeisa's little jumper and the puppeteering look on her little face,
