How is already 2023?

All  I can say is WOW. has it really been two months since I last blogged? Then again, does anyone even read blogs anymore?
We have been BUSY. Life has been busy. School, work, play, feeding humans. and keeping people alive each day all tend to make one busy.
But a full life is a wonderful, happy one, so I'm definitely not complaining.
We celebrated the holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's) and since this year has been unseasonably warm we were able to take walks on both Thanksgiving and New Year's Day. Last weekend we went up to the Berkshires with Adam's parents to celebrate Christmas and hang out with them at their timeshare (the kids LOVE going there).
We've been busy trying to stay caught up on school and not slack (our goal is to always try and be done by June 1st) and so far things have been going pretty smoothly, even if I'm not feeling as "inspired" as other years.
Today is Sunday, One of our favorite days. We're going to brunch at a friend's, and then I'm tossing a big old brown sugar and bourbon roast in the crock pot with carrots and potatoes to cook for dinner while we watch Sunday Afternoon Football. Rain is in the forecast otherwise we'd probably take a short walk today as well.

Baby Ren is now 8 months old and our sweet little crazy guy. He says Dadda, Mama, Adri, and Nurse so far. He loves his Little People toys, the birds, and bathtime. So far he's not interested in any food other than mashed potatoes (we just found that out last week) and he's on the move now! He can crawl, stand and walk along furniture, and he can stand for a few seconds on his own. I think I have another early walker on my hands (Piper walked at 10 months and Adri at 11)! We love him so much and he's the sweetest and best little man. Our little love bug.

I'm off to start my day and find coffee.

Happy New Year, and Happy Sunday, Friends!

  1. Thank you so much for the update. Your comments, pictures of your family, and home decoration inspire me. Especially the plants and the way you hang your pictures on the wall. Oh, and the food too!! And yes, I still read blogs. Thank you and God bless you and your family. Keep posting--I'm reading!
