January Things

"If I had my way, I'd remove January from the calendar altogether and have an extra July instead."
- Roald Dahl.

I have probably never agreed more with a quote than the one above.

We are making our way SO slowly through this month, and I'm more than happy to see it end this coming week. January is always a long, cold month in  New England and this one has been no exception. To close out the month we got a massive snow storm yesterday and now have almost 2 feet of snow! It's also been very cold this month with single-digit temps (it's currently 8 degrees outside as I type this).

We've been staying inside for the most part, aside from venturing out to dance each week, going to our Wild + Free homeschool group, and the occasional grocery shopping trip (however, Instacart has been my best friend this month!).

We've been reading lots of books, keeping up on school, drawing (a lot), and other such indoor activities that we can think up. Although, to be honest, I think at this point we are going just a little bit stir crazy.

The Bump has really grown in the past few weeks and we are now officially counting down with 15 weeks left to go! I can't believe in just a few months baby boy is going to be here! The girls are so excited (maybe Piper even more so) and can't wait to have a baby in the house.

If it warms up enough (and the winds settles down) the kiddos are planning on heading out to play in the snow. I think I'll stay inside with a cup of tea and my book.

Happy Sunday!
