"home again, home again, jiggity, jig"

We are finally home again! We got back Saturday afternoon and I've spent the better part of two days cleaning, unpacking, and settling in. The girls are so happy to be back and have been pulling all their toys out and spreading them (oh, joy!) all around the living room.
Adam was gone on his hunting trip when we got home but arrived back yesterday afternoon. We were SO happy to see him! I think that's the longest Adam and I have been apart since we started dating.

This week is a busy one. Adri is officially getting started with school (just preschool stuff) and I have all her books planned out and ready to go (we're homeschooling). So, we'll see how that goes.

Piper seems to have had another growth spurt and is talking more now. She's getting big SO fast. She and Adri Rose are still best of friends and now that they really play together with toys it's the sweetest.

So, the photos below: the first batch are from going out to dinner at this super neat place that James and Mandi (his girlfriend) took us too. It's called The Dog Watch, and has the best b.b.q. We sat outside, enjoyed the breeze, and feasted. It was such a fun evening!
The second batch of photos are from my dad's new place. They are finally all settled in and things are looking cozy.
The last photos are from a walk we took at Haley Farm. It's a nature preserve that my dad took us to all the time when we were growing up. I hadn't been there in probably 12+ years! Wesely, Claire and Co. went with my dad, the three youngest girls, Julia and me.

We had a really really wonderful time and I feel like we fit SO much into our visit. No trip to the beach though-it was too cold. Next year, I guess...

Now, I'm off to drink more coffee and tackle work.

Have a fantastic Monday!

    1. Hi Cathy,
It is nice to see them getting more settled in there and it's starting to feel really homey :) The sonogram is of my youngest sister when my mom was pregnant. It was her first ultrasound after 9 kids and she loved it! We found it in the move. lol

    2. You are so sweet to reply back to me and all of us. How special to have found the sonogram picture of your youngest sister during the move.
I know it's been bittersweet for you all having your family move and leaving their home. Will your dad sell the home in NY?
Always love your blog posts Rosie.
      Hugs and blessings,
      Cathy

  2. Nice you have spent so much time with your family. Families can be much comfort. Was the little boy at the top the one whose mom is from Norway? Glad all the children look so healthy and well!!

    1. Hi Elizabeth,
Yes, that is my nephew. He's getting so big, I can't believe that he'll be 7 this December!

    1. Hi Anna,
Yes, our sweet neighbor, Judy, painted both of those paintings for us. It's our chickens and goose (she loved them so much and always let them run around in her yard).

  4. Their new home looks cozy and like home. I’m sure there will be so many adjustments to a home without Jewels, but I’m sure it’s easier for them all in a new place. Love to you all.
