Summer Vacation 2018 {our first Airbnb Experience!}

Hello, hello! Long time no talk! We've been having a crazy busy week, and there's been (literally) no time for blogging.  Last Sunday we headed off to the Catskills and stayed in a cabin on a lake. It was our first Airbnb experience (this post is not sponsored by them, but hey, that wouldn't that be awesome if was?) and it was great. The cabin was cozy, and the lake was beautiful. Since the temps were reaching the 100's (unheard of around here) we spent all our time fishing, swimming, and grilling. Adri Rose caught her first fish and that was probably the most exciting thing our whole vacation. She was SO proud.

We got back home on Tuesday in time to wash a multitude of towels and get ready for the 4th of July celebration at our place.

The 4th was pretty low-key, with most of the family being there. While we had much, much better ones this wasn't the worst. And it was nice to all be together. 

Yesterday my sweet sisters babysat so that Adam and I could go to town and watch the new 

Jurassic World. It was much better than I expected it to be, and my dinosaur loving man was freaking out the whole time. Oh, and of course gimme all the popcorn and slushies everytime at the theater. What's your go-to concession stand food? 

Today Adam is going fishing with a buddy (he has off work until Monday), and I'm heading up to Wesleytown with my babies to see the sisters, get some work done, and take a walk at the Nature Center.

While we were on vacation I even found time to read a book. I read this, and loved it. Adam's always giving me a hard time about being into "nanny" stuff. Not quite sure what he means, but it does fascinate me. Maybe because I quite can't understand wanting to be responsible for some else's children? Huh. I don't know. 

Okay, I'm off to get ready to head out in a bit, and hang up some laundry before I leave.
