after the weekend: family, visiting, and "snow" in October

Well, first of all, not it was not REAL snow. The kiddos went and gathered cat tails and then pulled them apart, creating great piles of white fluff that LOOKED just like snow. It was pretty fun.

On Saturday we went to the Adam's workplace. They had a tour of the factory and it was also Employee Appreciation Day. Adri loved it and I have a feeling she's going to be asking to go with Daddy to work everyday now. Sigh.

Saturday afternoon the family came over. We celebrated Mimosa's 14th birthday (when did she grow up?!) and hung out. It was nice to have most of of the family together for the first time in a while.

Sunday I went out with Julia and we went shopping for the afternoon. It was some very much-needed girl time.
Once I got back home Adam and I made dinner, we watched  a few episodes of How I Met Your Mother, and then it was baths and cuddles for the small ones.

While I was at the grocery store yesterday they had a big sale on apples. I stocked up on a few bags and am planning on making pie filling and apple sauce out of them at some point this week.

Now it's Monday and so far it's off to a good start. I've already answered emails and walked a whole three miles. Now it's breakfast, housework, and snuggling my babes.

Happy Monday!
