on the table

I know I've mentioned it before, but when the weather gets warm we basically grill out almost every night. It's a welcome change from what we normally eat, and I get a break from the kitchen, which is nice.  Here's a little list of what we've been eating lately (not sure about you guys, but I'm the sorta person who likes when others post stuff like this).

The other night Adriana and her Auntie Anju made a pumpkin pie. Watching the two of them cooking together in the kitchen was the sweetest thing ever.

They decorated it with ducks, cats, and piggies.

One of the easiest ways to get Adri to eat some food is make a snack plate and let her graze off of it all afternoon. She either takes it in the living room to eat while she plays, or she brings it outside with her.

Our breakfast is pretty much the same every day. Eggs or some sort, and toast (sometimes we have sausage or bacon with it).

My brother is working for an artisan bakery so he's been keeping everyone in the family supplied with (free!) sourdough breads. So delicious toasted with butter and jam, or melted cheese and tomato!

Dinner meal #1: steak, mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli with lemon.

Dinner meal #2: more steak, cole slaw, and corn on the cob.

Just a snap shot of my diningroom on one of the rare moments when it's cleaned up (a hard thing to achieve with a busy toddler).

It's hot here today (high 80's). I have a doctors appointment, and then a couple of errands to run.

Happy Hump Day!
