weekend plans and muffin baking

Today it's hot outside. The temperature is already climbing and we have all the windows and doors open.

Adam went in early for work today, which means he'll get out early. Once he gets home I'm heading out to get groceries. I'm really stocking up this time, because, guess what? We're going camping!
Yup. A bunch of the siblings are coming up and we are all going camping over the 4th. Those who aren't camping out are going to meet us at the campground to celebrate the 4th (there's a big lake, swimming, and hiking trails there).

The campground is one that's only about 20 minutes from our house, and we've been there quite a bit (not for camping, but to enjoy the lake, boats, and playground).

We also have a family friend (more like older sister/aunt to us kids) coming tomorrow to stay with us through the 4th.

Adri has been getting into helping me bake lately (if you know me at all you know how little I like to bake, so this is me being REALLY nice). It seems muffins are the quickest and easiest thing to make. I measure. she stirs, and we both get flour everywhere. It's sure a lot of fun though. Adam is also appreciating the benefits of the baking binge ;)

We are still making our way though the teething phase, although to be honest at this point I'm not sure if it's teething, or just the Terrible Twos. We have lots of fussy nights, little sleep, and more melt-downs than I care to admit.
Oh, and my child eats like a little pig now (I"m thinking of changing her name to Wilber). As soon as we get down the stairs she's at the table begging for "EGGIES!!!!" at the top of her lungs. She ate two breadsticks and three pieces of pizza last night.
So there's also the chance that it's teething, being two and a growth spurt all combined, right?

So, yes, lots of stuff going on right now.

I'm off to wash dishes, answer emails, sweep, hang laundry, and finish my shopping list.

Have a wonderful weekend!
