taking stock of life lately

Outside my window: snow and rain. the first half of the week was freezing cold and the second has been in the upper 40's and raining. 

I am thinking: I really need to make a cup of coffee. I started my morning with tea today, and tea is just not cutting it. 

I am thankful: for warm beds, curly baby heads, good food, the sunshine we had yesterday, my new nail polish (it changes color), and that This Is Us is back on (a really random list of stuff, I know!).

In the kitchen: dinner tonight is mac and cheese. simple and easy it's one of both Adri and Adam's favorites.

I am wearing: the usual. jeans, tee shirt and a warm sweater. 

I am creating: I've been knitting a few dish cloths for the sink and that about all I've been making lately.

I am going: to be going with Adam later today to pick up our car from the shop, drop off the rental, and then off to a dentist appointment.

I am reading: mainly random  bits here and there. The Magician's Nephew, and lots of children's books to Adri Rose.

I am looking forward to: the days getting longer again! as much as I love sleepy winter evenings I'm more than ready for spring to arrive. 

I am hearing: our little town stirring awake. cars are starting to drive by. oh, and The Piano Guys are playing next to me on Spotify.

Around the house: kitties are running around, Adri is bringing me over books to read to her, there's a pile of dishes in the sink, and all the plants need watering. just a normal morning, I guess.

A few plans for the rest of the week: tomorrow I have a wellness check-up for Adri and then other than that we really don't have plans for the weekend. Adam has work on Saturday, but otherwise (for once) our schedule is free!
