Starting a new year: 2017

First of all, Happy New Year, everyone!

We really packed a lot into the past few days. "So much to do and so little time", seems to be my theme song lately.
The photos above are just a random collection of those days all thrown together. Adam and I went on a little day-date, saw Rogue One, and went out to dinner. We spent time as a family, just hanging out together. We made lots of seafood and steak for our New Year's Eve dinner, watched movies, and went to bed early (Adam woke me up at midnight to with me happy new year). Adam made jerky and baked blueberry muffins, I cleaned, organized things and played around on my camera.

I'm still shocked that it's already a new year, where did last year go? I love the new year though and I can already see that it has a lot in store for us. I'm always excited about a new start, turning a fresh page, etc.
Every year that flies by reminds my how fast life goes and to make sure that I make the most of the moments, because before you know it  years have passed by.
That being said, I did write out a few goals for 2017. It's not a lot, but I believe that keeping it small is keeping it attainable ;)

+ Exercise/get in shape.

+Drink lots of water (always on my lists).

+Read as least one book a week.

+Watch less t.v/less screen time.

+Spend more time in the moment and less time planning ahead.

On a more practical note. All the Christmas decorations are down, I'm planning on deep cleaning the bathrooms today, and baking some bread. Outside it's chilly and snowy, but inside we have music playing (Moana soundtrack on repeat) and candles lit. So, cozy-cozy :)

Have wonderful first day of January, and second day of 2017!
