after the weekend: festive and bright.

Hello everyone! We've such a wonderful last couple days.
On Friday night brother Joe surprised us all and showed up from Connecticut while we were celebrating Sophia's birthday in Wesleytown. he's staying through Christmas, so we get to see him for a while.
Saturday it snowed all day long and in the evening the older siblings came over and we hung out, ate pizza and played poker at our place.
Sunday Adam and I braved the cold and went out shopping. We came home with a trunk full of groceries and a couple new fish for the tanks (boring parent stuff, I know ;)). We watched a movie and ate seafood and I took a nice long afternoon nap with Adri. Perfect snowy day.

Now it's Monday and we have only six days until Christmas. Crazy. Is it just me or did this year just seem to fly by?
I've been busy finishing the last of the Christmas shopping, wrapping presents and making some last minute things. Almost all done folks!

It's cold and snowy outside today and we're planning on staying inside, reading stories, drinking hot chocolate, and cuddling.

Have a lovely Monday!

+pictures below are just a compilation of the past week. very busy, very festive, and (in the case of the baby) very cute ;)

Wanted to ask you....have you ever read the book~ The Blue Castle by Lucy Maud Montgomery. I just finished it and loved it. I thought of you some while reading it and was thinking you would love it also.
