Thanksgiving 2016

Hello everyone, I'm back!

The last few days were the best. We'd really been needing a weekend away and it was nice to just relax and visit with family and friends.

Adri had so much fun with her Grandma and Grandpa. It makes me wish we didn't live quite so far away. Sigh. I guess we'll just have to start making visits up more often (assuming that our work schedules allow).

Thursday we drove up and got to Adam's parent's place in time to unpack and get dressed before heading to Thanksgiving dinner. The food was all delicious, we played some fun games and there was even a treasure hunt! I didn't manage to snap any photos of dinner but I took a lot during the rest of the trip to make up for it.

We watched the Grinch, played a new (to us) game, I finished my book, and visited with Julie and Chad (our besties).

We drove back home Saturday afternoon.  Adri was thrilled to see her kitties again-she really missed them.

Yesterday morning I did the grocery shopping and then later in the afternoon all the girls gathered over at Julia's place to watch the new Gilmore Girl season (if you know us at all you'll know what huge GG fans we are!). We only made it though the first one (Winter) but are going to watch more next Friday. 

Now it's back to the week and I'm kinda happy about it. As much as I love to travel and visit I'm a homebody at heart and love returning to my cozy loft and daily routine.

Everything is full Christmas-mode around here now. I've been pulling out the lights, advent calendar, and nativity set and ordering in Christmas movies to watch. We'll wait until next weekend to get the tree though.
