Sweet and Sour Chicken Recipe.

I made this last night for dinner. It's not only really good, but you can basically just throw it all in the crock-pot, or oven, and other than the cooking time, it's super fast to make.

In a pan you are going to put:

four pieces of chicken (legs, thighs, or a mix of both).
one large onion, chopped.
one can of chopped pineapple.
a few cloves of garlic, chopped.
two chopped red (or yellow) peppers.
one bottle of your favorite sweet and sour sauce. We used this one (it's made where Adam grew up!).
(you might need a bit more sauce, if you have really big pieces of chicken).

You are going to let this all cook (covered!) on 350 for about an hour and a half, or until the chicken is tender.
If you opt for the crock-pot version, you will want to cook it on low for about six to eight hours.
Fifteen minutes before it's done you are going to throw in about a cup (more or less) of chopped broccoli, and then let it cook the rest of the way.

Serve over rice.

Feeds four.

  1. Yum, I'm going to have to try this! I have chicken baking tonight for dinner: 6 breasts cut up into chunks then a mix of sour cream, cream of cheddar soup, onions, and seasons poured over. I'll make rice, too. Thanks for the recipe!
