Chilly November Morning.

It has been cold out lately~very, very cold. We still do not have snow in Vermont {at least, not where I am!}, but  that doesn't mean that Winter is still not finding it's way here to us.

I have been spending a lot of time curled up in front of the wood stove, drinking tea and reading. Oh, and knitting too.

Wearing lots of warm clothing is a must too. Scarves, shawls, sweaters, hats~the more layers the better!

“Well, we were always going to fail that one," said Ron gloomily as they ascended the marble staircase. He had just made Harry feel rather better by telling him how he told the examiner in detail about the ugly man with a wart on his nose in the crystal ball, only to look up and realize he had been describing the examiner's reflection.”

“Hermione drew herself to her full height; her eyes were narrowed and her hair seemed to crackle with electricity.

"No," she said, her voice quivering with anger, "but I will write to your mother.”

(can you tell what I've been reading lately??)

I was at a thrift store the other day and they had buy a box of books {your choice} for $5.00. Needless to say, I got a nice big box full. A few that I have not read, and also some good old favorites-like Master and Commander, The Silmarillion, some Lloyd Alexander  and Madeleine L'engle, among others.

I guess that I'll be all set now for some good Winter reading material!
