::Today::

~:Outside my window:

Although it is cloudy, I hear tell it is supposed to be well in the 80's today....I see just-washed laundry on the line, the freshly dug garden, and am looking at Nicholai's pumpkin patch....

~:In the kitchen:

Plans for clam chowder and crusty bread for dinner tonight.

~:I am creating:

A new pair of socks, made out of some lovely Koigu yarn.

~:I am going:

To head off to work in just a bit....

~:I am reading:

Quite a few random books, "Life Downstairs" and "The Frontiersmen", and "The Gentlewoman's Choice" are a few of them....I feel like re-reading a few of my favorite "Miss Read" books...as it has been far too long since I have read one...

~:I am looking forward to:

A nice long weekend, church on Saturday night, and a picnic with the family on Sunday.

~:I am hearing:

The sound of grass being cut outside...and listening to this song, and this beautiful song:

"When all the world is blossoming
And everything around is bursting into life
And I don't have to strain to hear the beat of Your heart

When all the world is under fire
When skies are threatening to thunder and rain
And I am overcome by fears that I can't see

If everything is Yours
Everything is Yours
If everything is Yours
I'm letting it go
No, it was never mine to hold
No, never mine

Who could command the stars to sing
Or hold the raging seas from breaking through the doors?
And tend the fragile roses with the very same hands

If everything is Yours
Everything is Yours
If everything is Yours
I'm letting it go
I am, I'm letting it go, letting go
Yeah, I'm letting it go

'Cause everything is Yours
Yeah, everything is Yours

If everything is Yours, God
And everything is Yours
If everything is Yours
I'm letting it go, let it go, let it go, let it go

It was never mine, no, no
It was never mine, never mine"

  1. Ha! I've used that same color yarn several years ago to make a cute little bag. Very pretty! I also love the colors in your spring quilt!

  2. I love your knitting!! Such colorful yarn. It looks as though you are knitting up a scarf. That is what I am doing now as a present. I really like the quilt on your bed. Very feminine. God bless, Rose

  3. Wonderful. There's nothing I love better than the homey, the feminine, the familiar, and the comforting. Oh, and time with family.
