A wonderful article:

A beautiful song:

A good verse:

"For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him."
{Isaiah 64:4}

  2. NO WAY. I JUST posted Lord Have Mercy on my blog a minute ago before stopping by here...thank you, I like your version very much!! Lovely photos...great idea to put a bunch of tulips in a big jar! I just have to say, I've been doing many more "tablescapes" due to your family's inspiration! My children LOVE it! :) I also have a pile of fabric I'm collecting for fabric napkins.

    I love the photos of Heidi and her little guy and the JJ Heller song is lovely also!

    Bless you!

  3. Ohh those Washington tulips are soooooooooo bea u ti ful. I miss going through the Skagit Valley and seeing the fields of tulips and daffodils. I use to live in Kirkland near Seattle. You are one blessed gal to receive such a gift! And what sweet homey'ness pics all those projects display. I love seeing your meal table pictures. They look so cozy and welcoming. I have always wanted a long farm table. I hope to get one one day. I host the BIG family get together's from 13 to 23 people at a time. I married into a large family.

    Blessings in Him<><

  4. I always love "visiting" your dinner table, so relaxing! I sometimes entertain myself by imagining a "before and after" set of pictures... in one, the table is nicely set out as shown here, in the latter, the pictures are taken after the little ones have upset cups, smeared spaghetti sauce all over themselves and the table, and perhaps had a nice food fight. :-) That's part of the fun of food, right?

  6. Hi Rosie~I really enjoyed your post!! You and Julia have been such an inspiration to my girls~they try to set our long table the way you and Julia set it~with all the pretty pottery candles. I have that in common with your mom~I love pottery. I just wanted to let you know that I did a little video on how I knit. If you want to visit my blog, you can see the video of me doing my German knitting. It is sort of funny because a lot of things went wrong. I am knitting a scarf for a present. God bless you! Rose

  8. I grew up 1/2 an hour from the Skagit Valley tulip fields but have lived out of state for 14 years. I miss seeing them. My Mom and I used to go every year for the tulip festival. Those are really gorgeous, the ones sent to you.
