Things have been busy here, and the next couple weeks following are promising to be even busier...

Joe is down South visiting his girlfriend, Autumn, and her family and then she will be returning with him, to stay here for two weeks.
And, then a dear friend of our family's, Heidi, is coming to visit for a bit in between.

Believe it or not, after all the nice weather we have been getting, we got snow the other day, yes, it did leave almost right away, but still, it was snow.
It is sunny out now, but we still have a fire going in the woodstove.

I have lots of sewing plans {quite a few half-finished projects to be finished up}, and a great big pile of books beside my bed that I am working on diminishing....

Cooking dinner...

Using up the last of the wild leeks.

Angel hair pasta, with wild leek and salmon sauce.

Sewing table...

Sunlight.

Some good George MacDonald quotes that I found...

"Man finds it hard to get what he wants, because he does not want the best; God finds it hard to give, because He would give the best, and man will not take it."

"All that is not God is death."

"To try to be brave is to be brave."

"I write, not for children, but for the child-like, whether they be of five, or fifty, or seventy-five."

  4. I have this little dream that I will be able to finish matching Easter dresses for the girls by Saturday but at this point, it is seeming to be much more a dream than a reality.

Look forward to seeing your projects and I always enjoy reading your quotes. And, though I don't normally prefer fish, your dinner actually made my mouth water! I wonder if I should go take a pregnancy test! ;-)

  7. Hi Rosie,
Our weather on the other side of the world is just lovely just now. We live quite close to the main highway and the traffic is building up for the Easter holidays. Many people head down this way for the school holidays. We are only 5 minutes from the ocean but we live in a beautiful valley surrounded dairy and cattle farms. We have had very good rains over summer so everything is so lush and green.
The leek and salmon pasta looks delicious. Can you share the recipe?
I really like the quotes this time especially the first one which is sadly so true. Why would we not take the best, really hard to fathom. The last quote pertains to me, being child-like occasionally is often so freeing. There are some wonderful children's books around with great wisdom and morals as well. Have a wonderful Easter as we all remember the Gift we have been been given.
    Blessings Gail

  8. Hi Rosie~every one looks like they are having a wonderful time at Autumn's home. My children loved the dance video with the dog!! You set up your sewing machine and all the notions so nicely. It sort of looks like the way I set up mine~with the stand for the spools of thread. Enjoy working on your sewing projects. God bless, Rose

I wish I could see it!

    Hi Deanna,
The weather has been so nice, hasn't it?

    Hi Shelley,
    Thank-you :)

    HI Rebecca,
Well, you could always hold out hope until the end,of finding dresses, right? :)
And, it is too bad that you don't enjoy fish, although as much as I love it, I do see how many people could dislike the taste!

    "they call me mommy",
How neat that you know Heidi, she is so very dear, and we are all really excited about seeing her! I am going to have to look up A Diary of an Old Soul.

    Thank-you, Christina :)

    Hi Gail,
It sounds like you live in a lovely area! I'll have to see if I can write the recipe out :)
    You wonderful Easter too :)

Hi Rose, the movies were funny so funny, we were laughing really hard her, when we saw them too!It is nice to have the thread in order-it can get so tangled, can't it?

    Thank-you, Cathy :)
