The socks I have been knitting for some time are now done!
I think they have a rather Hobbit-y look to them...and I think they fix Joe very nicely!

"I rest in Christ alone. That is the only foundation secure enough to uphold me in the last day. I want to say that more often. I want to remember it every morning. Then I want Christ alone to inspire and empower me because I am no longer my own."

"True virtue never appears so lovely as when it is most oppressed; and the divine excellency of real Christianity is never exhibited with such advantage as when under the greatest trials; then it is that true faith appears much more precious than gold, and upon this account is "found to praise and honor and glory."

there is nothing living, nothing dying,

there is nothing now, nothing at the resurrection-morning,
nothing in heaven

  1. Rosie,

First of all, thank you for writing this wonderful blog, I love reading about your day to day.

Secondly, what is the pattern you use for the dresses. I adore the modestly and simplicity of them, perfectly feminine, even the ones on the little girls.

Hope you have a most blessed day.

  2. "If you remain silent because what you say could be taken wrongly, you will never speak."

This is where I find myself...I am asking the Lord to help me to not fear but to speak clearly the things He has laid on my heart...

    Thanks, Rosie!

  3. Reading about your home and family and all that you do makes me full of joy.

Jonathon Edward's quote reminded me of the biography of the marriage of he and his wife I read last year called Marriage to a Difficult Man.

Like any good biography, it made me feel like I came to know them and when I see his name written... I feel as if he is an old friend. :)

    Hugs to your dear mom.
