~Sunday~

There is something about it being cold outside and inside being all warm,with cookies baking in the oven, music playing and heat coming from the wood stove.

I think the word is *home*.

We are getting some snow today, it is drifting down, but probably will leave before tomorrow.
~
Here are a few pictures from our lazy Sunday afternoon....

Kitchen art.

Some fabric that is to be made into aprons,
for a dear friend, that has been kept waiting far too long for them!

Coziness.

A sunny corner.

Joseph, playing the guitar.

Stan Lee, reading.

View from my window.
~
Outside, before the snow.

The little's playhouse, all done!

And after the snow.....

"The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.

To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice."

~Proverbs 21:1~

"There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not:
The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid."

"There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise
The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;
The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks;
The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands
The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings' palaces."

Proverbs 30.

  1. And I shall always love the spider because of that one verse....although the toxic ones generally meet a swift and decisive end.

  6. Warm inside, snow and cold outside, cookies in the oven - sounds like home to me! I love slow, sleepy days, curled up in a chair, kittie snuggled on my lap. Don't get many of them, but I surely do love them. The playhouse looks great, can't wait to see pics of the littles using it. Much love to you and yours - Raquel XOxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

  15. Where does your family find blue spongeware bowls and such like the ones you have in the first picture entitled kitchen art? They are beautiful.
    We have a lot of the enamel speckleware, but they always seem to chip and then rust.
    Thanks!
