~ A Peasant-y Style Regency Jumper~

Made out of a silk blend, I love the drape of the fabric.

And the color too.

It has a lot of gathers, but they just make it all the more flowing.

Just right for those days you want to wear something a bit Regency, but not too much so.

Inspiration...

The gown on the far right.

Close up of the gathers.

  4. Did you make up the pattern yourself? I would love to hear how you made it. It would be a perfect addition to the wardrobe. [o=

  5. Hi Mary, well, I did make the pattern myself, it is just basically a peasant dress top (without the sleeves), with a skirt attached...if that helps at all! :)

  7. That is so pretty! I too have been inspired of late to do some period drama style sewing. Just recently I did a post on an apron that was inspired by "Wives & Daughters". I love how your jumper turned out. Keep up the good work!
