~A Trip To The Zoo Day.

One of the finest things about a large family is that there is never a lack of people to get together with!

This past Saturday we packed the big red van with all the Clan still at home, along with Wesley, Josie, Maggie and little Georgie (Claire stayed behind with Eleanor) and headed off to the city, for a day at the zoo, and a picnic (complete with bread and cheese, rotisserie chickens, potato salad, coleslaw, and fruit for dessert!) at the playground.
Later we came home and had a fire and roasted hot dogs over it...
It was a wonderful day, albeit a bit hot and sticky.
Life has been the same~which means always different.

We have been out in the garden, taking long walks, cooking, sewing, knitting, swimming, and the fellows all busy with work ~summer is such a very busy time, so much is happening!

Anyway, here are the photos from our busy day.

Of to the Zoo we go!

This was so neat, it was made of tiles...

Josie brought her baby.

The Clan spreads out....

..to explore.

The little ladies.

They are all so cute :)

All Clan, but not all the Clan.

Dad and Wesley.

Some cute lil penguins...

Along we go...

...hand in hand.

The Tiger Riders.

This fellow seemed rather comfy here.

Wesley, Georgie, and me.

Joe and Celeisa.

Miss Maggie.

And the following pictures are of the Elephant Riders~what else are you to do when you find one just standing there, waiting to be ridden?

My favorite nephew.

Julia and Georgie.

I like how you can see Joe taking the picture, in the sunglasses....

The little lasses try their hands a milking.

This horse was really neat...

Maggie, Celeisa and Josie.

Josie and her baby Rosie.

Sophia and Aimaija.
A few inspiring links to visit....

And last, but not least, a couple of random pictures~just because they are rather nice ones...

Our new friend, Spud The Scarecrow.

I LOVE the photo of Josie with her baby Rosie on her back. What a precious girl. And I like the one of Wesley and Joe flanking all the little ladies by the aquarium...sweet.
