after the weekend: yard sales, sleepovers, and truck work

The weekend has flown by. Seriously, I can't even believe that it's already Monday. What happened?
The little siblings came and had a sleepover (they've been dying to have one) and of course that made Adri's Saturday/Sunday.

On Sunday morning we woke up and decided to have a very last minute yard sale. The little sisters helped and we got everything all set up. We waited, and waited, but not one single person stopped! I'm not sure if it was the lack of advertising (we did put up signs though) or just the fact that we basically live in the middle of nowhere. Either way, not one single person. I guess we'll just have to give it another try some other weekend.

Friday morning Adri and I went to the grocery store, stopped at the greenhouse for some new plants (see above), and visited my friend Alyson at the farm that she works at. Adri had a blast seeing the cows, calves, and kittens!

The little sisters and Adam made a breakfast casserole for brunch.

Hot days call for lemonade. Lots of it, with ice.

The guys put a new starter in our truck and finally got it working. Yay for two vehicles at last! No more having to share ;)

The best thing about having aunties over? They have tea parties with small folks.

It was warm enough to put Sprite outside on the porch. Poor guy was so excited and kept calling to the other birds.

Lazy  weekend mornings spent in cow pants, eating toast.

Now it's back to making lists, washing laundry, planning dinner, sweeping floors, and watering plants.

Have a wonderful Monday!
