Quoting.

Just a bit of loveliness from Pinterest, along with a handful of excellent quotes.

"In the spring, at the end of the day you should smell like dirt."

"He smiled understandingly–much more than understandingly. It was one of those rare smiles with a quality of eternal reassurance in it, that you may come across four or five times in life. It faced–or seemed to face–the whole external world for an instant, and then concentrated on you with an irresistable prejudice in your favor. It understood you just so far as you wanted to be understood, believed in you as you would like to believe in yourself and assured you that it had precisely the impression of you that, at your best, you hoped to convey."

"I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought; and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder."

"--but in my heart I am a cow man. When I first started this game, I thought I'd never get to like those seemingly dull and uniteresting creatures, but I really have a great interest and affection for them now.
My dream on the future is a practice of my own in a nice country town, bigger than Thirsk, with enough to provide a decent small animal practice and, outside of town, a good dairying district with cows for ever."

"I try to avoid looking forward or backward, and try to keep looking upward."

“You are the gull, Jo, strong and wild, fond of the storm and the wind, flying far out to sea, and happy all alone.”

"We were born in a dark age out of due time (for us). But there is this comfort: otherwise we should not know, or so much love, what we do love. I imagine the fish out of water is the only fish to have an inkling of water."

“She had long accepted the fact that happiness is like swallows in Spring.
It may come and nest under your eaves or it may not. You cannot command it. When you expect to be happy you are not, when you don’t expect to be happy there’s suddenly Easter in your soul, though it be midwinter.”

“Hermione drew herself to her full height; her eyes were narrowed and her hair seemed to crackle with electricity.
"No," she said, her voice quivering with anger, "but I will write to your mother.”

“No story lives unless someone wants to listen. The stories we love best do live in us forever. So whether you come back by page or by the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.”

  1. Beautiful pictures, and really great food for the heart :) When I was reading the cow quote, it brought to mind a book I read and wondered if you have ever heard of this lady: Seasons of My Life Hannah Hauxwell with Barry Cockcroft. You might find it somewhat enjoyable!
