{good book finds from a book sale~the cookbook on the bottom of the stack is so neat, it has each recipe in english, and french.}

As nice as it is to visit with friends, it feels so good to be back home, and into the nomal routine.

We have been having many rainy days here, and there are lots of big puddles about the yard outside~the goose ni particular, has been very happy about all the rain.

We have a new (to us) woodstove, and it is lovely to curl up in front of it's warmth in the evening with some knitting, or a good book~there is nothing quite like the smell of woodsmoke.....

Traveling though New England-the colors are so lovely right now-all the red, gold, orange and green blending together.
Danielle took Juli and I for a nice long drive, to site see and stop at some trift stores, shops, and that great book sale.
We spant time just haning out, knitting togther, watching films, staying up late, and eating good food...below is a delicious cake that Danielle made, it was so good!

"Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord."

 “If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there.”

“Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.”

“Don't be afraid of death; be afraid of an unlived life. You don't have to live forever, you just have to live.”

Lastly, a new short film on composting, by our dear friends, The West Ladies....

  2. To me a little piece of Heaven on Earth would be a weekend with you all and the West Ladies together!

    We have had such a rainy fall. We're finally getting a couple days in a row of nice weather so as soon as I finish my snack and reading the writing of some of my favorite people, I can't put it off... no, not any longer.

    I have to finish getting the deck and front porch ready for the coming freezing temperatures!

    How lovely it would be to come back inside for tea and coffee and conversation by your wood burning stove.

  3. Reading Brenda and jAne's comments I am thinking that we are all of the same mind!

    What delight it would be to sit together, enjoying the fire, and good food and conversation....

    Love to you, Jewels, and Julia!
