Christmas 2016

Our Christmas: it was busy and so much fun. I really think toddlers at Christmastime are the best. They love every single thing and even the smallest gift makes them so happy.
Saturday (Christmas Eve) Adam had to work in the morning, then he did some last minute shopping and after that hung out with a friend for a few hours. He got home around 4:30pm and we made a dinner of steak, twice baked potatoes, kale, and (made at home) Red Lobster biscuits. Adri took a bath, got dressed in her special Christmas p.j.s from her grandma and then watched the Winnie the Pooh Christmas movie.

Christmas morning Adri woke us up at 3am. Yes, that's right, 3am. Since we were all wide awake we decided to just open presents right away. It was so cute watching her get into unwrapping her gifts. She has so many things she loves, but her favorite is the ball tent, of course. Every time she opened a gift she would gently place it into the tent. Once she was done opening everything she got into the tent herself and just hung out there for a good hour or two, playing with all her new toys.
A few hours later, after a nap, big breakfast, and another nap, we made our way up to Welseytown to open more presents and have dinner with the family.

One of my presents from Adam was a dehydrator (yay!). The night before he had marinated steaks, so we were able to make beef jerky in it right away. You guys, it is the best jerky ever. Soooo good. Today Adri and I are going to make some banana chips in it.

Speaking of today. Adam's working but I have the day off. My friend Alyson is coming over to hang out for a while later and other than that there's nothing else planned-just the way I like it.

Adam is working today, tomorrow, and Wednesday and then we head up see his family on Thursday and celebrate a (late) Christmas and New Years with them.

So much happening. 2017 is right around the corner, can you believe that? I know I can't.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
