~:our visit with Heidi:~

Well, Autumn has returned home, and now so has Heidi. We had a wonderful visit with them both, and below are some of the photo's from our time together.

The weather seems to have taken a turn for the worse, and we have lots of cold, rain, and even a bit of snow~the only plus is that it means Julia has had work off, for a few days this week {it is rather hard to plant seedlings in the rain!}, and that has been fun.
~~

Wilmer {Heidi's youngest, that she brought with her}, playing~he is so sweet, and it was so wonderful to have a one year old in the house for a few days!

The girlies loved playing with him....

...and Wil loved seeing the kitties...

Heidi took lots of pictures too....

Heidi and Wilmer.

Aimaija Art.

Seedlings, ready to plant after the ground warms up.

A busy little writer.

Our snow that fell, yesterday....

And, lastly, two of the latest period dramas that we have been enjoying, the Titanic miniseries {written by Julian Fellows, who does Downton Abbey}, below, Great Expectations.

Although Great Expectations {well, any of the films, I do like the book a lot} is usually my least favorite Dickens story, I found this one rather good~I thought they did a wonderful job on the character of Miss Havisham, and the costumes were great too....

  1. Looks like you had a lovely time with your friends. And seeing your pic of your starters show that we are a bit behind. ((sigh)) I just planted the seeds for sweet peppers, jalapenos, and basil. Ohhh I can't wait till harvest time for those. I still got a bit more frozen sweet peppers in the freezer. Your sister sure looks like she is very focused on her story. What is she writing about? I hope to encourage my 3ds to write more. He has such a imagination!

    Blessings in Him<><

  2. Wilmer looks so content on Heidi's lap! I can see he was very curious about the cat. When my nephew comes over he loves crawling after my cat. He never catches her, though! Your little sister looks like she loves to write. Your whole family is beautiful. Blessings in Jesus, Rose

  3. What a beautiful song...love it.

Does Julia have a job or were you talking about the job being planting the seeds?

Sure hope your weather will warm up soon. I know how you all love your outside time and taking walks.

    Blessings to you,
    Cathy

  4. Hi Mary,
It is so nice to be able to plant and harvest stuff, and then be able to eat it all winter long, isn't it?

    Hi Rose,
It seems that all the littles that I know, *love* the kitties! :)

    Cathy, Julia works at a local CSA {where she does plant a lot of seeds!}
Yes, we are really missing not being able to take walks :)
