This is Home

I never thought I'd be able to say this, but you guys, We BOUGHT A HOUSE. Yep. This has been something that we've been working on for years. However, life threw us a bit of a curveball when we ended up leaving NY and moving to VT, only to pull up stakes 6 months later and move to CT. 

Add in my being an independent contractor (I've come to find that mortgage brokers hate that word) and the housing market being absolutely CRAZY and I'm still shocked that we managed to not only find but BUY a house. 

The back story is that we started looking last year (in early 2020) but after a few offers, and one excepted offer (that fell through after the inspection), we decided to put the house hunting on hold until this year. We started actively looking again in April, and now we are here! 

We love our new little place. It's got a great backyard, is in a quiet neighborhood, and is in a GREAT area (right down the road from Piper's beloved aquarium). 

Since the house doesn't need any work/updates, we are turning our focus to making some improvements in the backyard. So, stay tuned for fun yard projects!
