2017 In Review
We are swiftly headed toward 2018, and man, does that make me feel old. I remember growing up and folks would talk about 2020 and how we'd basically be like the Jetsons. Wow. Yeah, not quite there yet.
Here's the compilation of all that's happened here on the old blog in the past year. If you click on the highlighted links below they'll take you to the post/s I'm talking about {or you can skip the links and just read what I have to say}.
Happy New Year, and I'll see you in 2018!
January
January: We were busy staying warm, and braving the cold. I wrote a Day In The Life post, we announced that a new little member was joining the family, and we spent a lot of time cuddling.
February
February: It was warm for about a week in February and it was great! I posted the first Bump update, and we went to Jurassic Quest.
March
March: We moved in about two weeks, survived a big winter storm, I was super morning (i.e all day) sick, and we celebrated St. Patrick's Day.
April
April: The weather warmed up, we went hiking, cleaned up the yard, celebrated Easter, had lots of doctor appointments.
May
May: We started a garden, found out who was hiding in my belly, went on more hikes, and enjoyed the sunshine.
June
June: What a busy month! We celebrated Adriana Rose's 2nd birthday, went on more hikes, and saw our friends Julie and Chad.
July
July: July was full of farm visits, a trip to New England, swimming, cook outs, camping, and celebrating Independence Day.
August
August: August we fit in everything we wanted to do before Piper's arrival. Berry picking, a trip to the Nature Center, more picnics, harvesting the garden, canning, and the solar eclipse viewing.
September
September: can be described in one word. BABY.
October
October: Pumpkins, apples, falling leaves, trip to the Farm, Halloween, Ponyo's birthday, and the days getting colder.
November
November: We got ready for winter/Christmas, had our first snow, read a lot of books, Adam shot his first deer in years (and was SO excited), and had all the family together for Thanksgiving for the first time in years.
December
December: we stayed warm, read lots of good books, went sledding, watched Pipey grow before our very eyes, and celebrated Christmas.

We had a wonderful year. It was so busy, but still good. I'm excited about the new year though, and starting fresh. We are also looking forward to Winter ending in about three months! lol.
DeleteThis year just flew by! I know you feel the same way since it was a baby year for us both! Happy 2018!
ReplyDeleteI know, baby years are busy ones! lol I always feel like that takes up everything about the year, although we did move last year too, and that kept us pretty busy!
