June notes 6-13-2017

Outside my window: sun is shining and the birds are flocked around the bird feeder. It's hot here again today. Not as hot as yesterday (in the 90's) but still, it's warm.

I am thinking: about plans for rest of the day. Laundry to fold, beds to make, and emails to answer.

Thankful: for a lovely kitchen, currently napping baby, sunlight, a hard working man, and warm summer days (at last!).

In the kitchen: I currently have chicken thighs marinating on the counter in a mustard/soy sauce marinate. We'll cook those on the grill with some veggies on the side, and have potato salad with those.

I am wearing: skirt, and maternity tank. Trying to stay nice and cool on this warm morning.

I am creating: does planting and weeding the garden count as creating? Because if so that's what I've been working on. Oh, and re-potting plants. It seems out plants really like this house and they're all growing out of their containers at an alarming speed.

I am going: to be heading off to work later today. Monday though Wednesday I work at the library nights.

Reading: Jenny Han's trilogy, The Summer I Turned Pretty.  Does anyone else love Jenny's books?

Watching: The new season of Orange Is The New Black. Such a good show. I feel like this season is going just a bit slow, so we are kinda waiting for it to pick up. We also just finished watching the twelfth season of Supernatural (we are die-hard fans), and I'm watching The Handmaid's Tale on Hulu (SO MANY THOUGHTS ABOUT THAT SHOW).

I am looking forward to: a doctors appointment later this week where I'll get to hear the baby's heartbeat!

Hearing: fish tank bubbling, and the David Nevue station playing on Pandora.

Around the house: all is quiet. Baby sleeping, kitties moving about, coffee next to me, and my list that I'm working on by my side.

Bathtime fun.

27 weeks.

Roses from my man.

Failed birthday cupcakes.

National Donut Day!

Little sister drew ALL of the Winnie the Pooh characters for Adri for her birthday. Aren't they the cutest?

We got a huge steak last week on shopping night and Adam grilled it for dinner. It. was. the.best.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts, with carrots, onion and garlic.

Daddy and his double.

Adri's got a sunglass obsession (and a super dirty face).
