after the weekend: swimming, cookouts, and friends

We had such a great weekend. Our friends Julie and Chad came to visit and we got to meet adorable little Evelyn! So much fun. 

Saturday we all hung out, went exploring, and grilled out. Oh, and caught up on all the latest news we had to talk about. 

Look at that adorable fat little face! So tiny, but so chunky. 

On Sunday we packed up and headed out to the lake for the day. We grilled (again), splashed in the water, played in the sand, and (the guys) went kayaking. The weather was in the 90's and it was so nice to have some heat and sun for a change. Yay for SUMMER.

Adri loved baby Evie, and spent most of the time talking to her. I've been a bit worried about how she would do with the new little member coming in September (she's never really been around a little baby before), but after seeing her with Evelyn I'm not concerned at all. She was so sweet and gentle to her. Rubbing her hand, bringing her toys, and talking to her. It was the cutest. 

And hey, now it's Monday. A new week, and it's supposed to be warm. I'm sure that means we'll be outside, playing in the pool, and grilling out the next five days.
