So Much Snow

Just sharing a few pictures from after the storm last week. It really was crazy how after days of nice, warm weather the cold set in suddenly and the snow started coming down (and didn't stop for two whole days!)
On the third day it was nice enough out for Adri and I to go exploring for the first time in the yard. She couldn't get over how deep the snow was! Thankfully we have a huge drive that's plowed, so we didn't have to wade through the snow to play in it.

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening

  Robert Frost

"Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep."

  1. Once when I very very little, 1947 or 48, snow was so deep some neighbor boys built a snow house with walls so high I could not see outside of them, but could walk from room to room....It almost looks that deep around your driveway!
