Ready for the weekend

It's finally Friday! This has been one of the longest weeks ever. Not only all the unpacking and settling in, but also having a toddler getting used to a new place, with all the strange sights and sounds. I'm hoping by next week things will have slowed down and we will be back to a bit more of "normal" life.
The next few days are supposed to get cold. I'm really not happy at all about that. I was hoping we had our last cold spell a week or so ago and that Spring was around the corner (seeing that the calendar says it's only ten days away!). But outside my windows it's already snowing so I'm sure we really are in for a cold and snowy weekend.

thrifting treasures: bath squares and new (maternity) dresses.

dutch babies are perfect for these cold winter mornings. I use this recipe here.

Today Adam has to change the car oil when he gets home, and then we're running into town (our nearest town in 15 miles away) to buy groceries. Tomorrow I have work in the morning, and then we are going to my mom and dad's church for a corned beef and cabbage dinner (is it really true that St. Patrick's Day is next week? How can that be?!). Sunday I'm sure we'll be unpacking the last of the boxes, sipping hot drinks and watching snow fall outside ;)

Oh, and this Sunday is Daylight Savings? When did that happen? I feel like March a flying by and I'm so busy I haven't had time to even notice it. I guess moving can do that...

Have a great weekend!

  1. It is so hard to move with a toddler. After you get unpacked, you are just happy if nothing was broken and your toddler is alive and well!

    1. Brenda, that's exactly how I feel! lol it's hard to feel motivated to unpack because I'm just relived that we made the move all in one piece and now I want to take a break!

  2. Love it. Wish you all the best. I do hope that you will start Adri early on the Redwall books, if you haven't already. Did you know that they are making a video game? Much love to you all, Hug your sweet mama and sisters for me!

    1. Thanks Raquel! I didn't know they were making a Redwall video game. That's so neat! No Redwall for Adri yet, but soon :)

    1. She is SO full of energy, Espy! lol These days I feel like I can't keep up with her. I've been trying to rest when I can, but since she kinda stopped napping my days are pretty much go-go-go :(

  4. Seeing those bath squares (we called them bath salts) brought back memories of Christmases past. Mum always received a pack from one of us kids each year!
