Wherein we go for a hike, and Adam makes dinner (a recipe!).

Oh my goodness was it nice yesterday! It felt like Fall out there. The sun was shining, leaves were falling, and it was only about 65 degrees.
Julia, Stan Lee, Posie and I all went for a little stroll at the Nature Center yesterday afternoon. We saw mushrooms, ducks, a couple deer, a frog, and even a snake!
When the weather's nice you've really gotta take advantage of it around here, know that there'll be snow in no time at all.

My man is the best (I know I say that a lot, but he really is), he cooked dinner both Saturday night and Sunday.
Beef with potatoes, carrots and broccoli cheddar soup one night and then the following day he made the best crock-pot beef stew I've ever had. No kidding, it was that good. Oh, and he made garlic bread to go with it too ;)

Adam's Crock-Pot Beef Stew.

1/2 lb. of stew beef.
1 cup of frozen corn.
A large handful of chopped green beans.
1/4 lb. of fried bacon.
3 chopped carrots.
1 cup of chopped cabbage.
A couple cloves of garlic.
1 small onion, chopped.
One large (32 ounce) container of beef broth.

Put everything in the crock-pot and cook on low for about six hours.
Serve hot with garlic bread.
Serves 6-8 people.

Seriously. This is the perfect Fall meal.

Today Adri and I have a walk to take and a house to clean up. I'm also planning on starting some new knitting projects (we really need some new wash clothes) and finishing up my current read

Have a wonderful Monday!
