Best Homemade Calamari.

We love calamari around here. It's one of our very favorite foods. A couple years ago, Adam and I made our first homemade calamari, and since then we've never looked back.
Not only is this delicious, but it's super quick to make.

You will need:

1-1 1/2 cups of flour.
Salt and pepper.
1 cup of milk.
1 lb. of frozen calamari (rings or tentacles, or both)---thawed.
Cooking oil

Lemon
Cocktail sauce

To make.

Pour oil into a pan. You want it at least three inches full.

Toss salt and pepper with flour.

Dip a large handful of calamari in milk, drain off and toss in flour mixture until well coated.

Heat oil until it's super hot, and sizzles is you flick a bit of flour in (that's 350F, is you have thermometer).

Gently put your flour coated calamari into oil.

Cook for 10-15 minutes. When done the calamari will be  golden brown on the outside.

Drain well on paper towels, and repeat until all the calamari is cooked.

Serve with lemon and sauce.

Feeds two.
