End of August.

Yes, I'm still here! I have just been so terribly busy of late that I really have not had any time at all for blogging. I'm thinking that is a good sign though~it means I lead an incredibly productive, interesting, and fast paced life~right?

Last weekend Julia and I took a trip home. It was our first time back since the 4th of July! It was so nice to see everyone and visit.

Then we took a quick {one day} trip down to visit Wesley, Claire, and their wee ones at their new house back in New England. We had a whirlwind day of swimming, going to watch the waves at the ocean, visiting, driving past all the places we grew up, and finished the day off with lots of lobster, fish, mashed potatoes and bbq chicken!

Now we are back in Vermont and recovering from our busy weekend away. As I look around I'm seeing that quite a bit of cleaning around the house is in order too....so now that means that I'm off to do some cleaning and make some dinner.

  1. Rosie,
Nice Post. Yummy Lobster! I love going home to Maine and treating myself to lobster and the Tastee Freeze In Madawaska, Maine.

And thanks for mentioning Nourishing Traditions in you past post. I bought the book and now we have dropped white sugar and white flour and started soaking as well as fermenting. I have beet kvas, cabbage, and ginger carrots sitting on my counter right now.

I want to try making Kombucha as well, but haven't done so yet. It does intimidate me a bit.

Nice pic of you and your dad.
