Ducking In.

To say hello.
It seems that lately I have been on the once-a-week blogging plan. I'm not quite sure how that's happened. Maybe, because between work and life I have been just plain busy?
Hmmm. That is probably the answer.

So, this is going to be one of those quick, I-am-still-here-but-life-is-just-really-too-busy-to-blog-about-it posts, today.
Hopefully, there will be more of a "real" post sometime soon.

There is still snow here is Wesleytown. In fact, as I type, it's falling outside the window.

Our latest read-aloud. I had heard great things about these books, and the first one is every bit as good as I had been told. Just read a few nice quotes from it:

“You must remember, family is often born of blood, but it doesn't depend on blood. Nor is it exclusive of friendship. Family members can be your best friends, you know. And best friends, whether or not they are related to you, can be your family.”

“Oh, here's a clever one. Do you remember this question from the first test? It reads, 'What wrong with this statement?'  And do you know what Constance wrote in reply?  She wrote, 'What's wrong with you?”

“I can't say for sure, because I have no experience, but -- well, is this what family is like? The feeling that everyone's connected, that with one piece missing the whole thing's broken?”

My newest knitting project, a pair of leg warmers in this fun purple and pink wool.

And, just because he is so great~a picture of the Humpty Dumpty Cookie jar, that I got for my birthday.
