::an Autumn list--and a few questions answered:

enjoying: all the lovely fall colors, mugs of hot tea, orange pumpkins, the fall harvest, leaves on the ground, curled up with my Christmas knitting projects,

listening to this lovely song:

"If I find in myself desires nothing in this world can satisfy,
I can only conclude that I was not made for here
If the flesh that I fight is at best only light and momentary,
then of course I'll feel nude when to where I'm destined I'm compared

Speak to me in the light of the dawn
Mercy comes with the morning
I will sigh and with all creation groan as I wait for hope to come for me

Am I lost or just less found? On the straight or on the roundabout of
the wrong way?
is this a soul that stirs in me, is it breaking free, wanting to come alive?
Cos my comfort would prefer for me to be numb
And avoid the impending birth of who I was born to become

For we, we are not long here
Our time is but a breath, so we better breathe it
And I, I was made to live, I was made to love, I was made to know you
Hope is coming for me
Hope, He's coming"

reading this verse: "Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand."

in the kitchen: sweet and sour chicken, rice, and steamed broccoli for lunch, and pizzas for dinner....

watching this film below: very inspiring, watching this reminds of how wonderful it would be to go and visit Oxford! !

questions:  A few of you asked me what season of Downton Abbey I was watching, and if I was watching it online. It is is season three that I have been watching {the latest season}, and since  it will not be available in the USA until next year, yes, I am watching in online.

One of you asked how I would describe my mom's homeschooling approach. I think it would be a mix of many things, that she has gathered here and there, from over the years, and mainly a Charlotte Mason and Lifestyle of Learning (Marilyn Howshall) approach {I think she says more about homeschooling on her blog, in various places}.

And, lastly, I have had quite a few folks ask where I work. I work as a Sales Representative for an online company  and I also work for a CSA/Wholeshare/Farm, that harvests and delivers produce to restaurants, college dining halls, etc.

Hopefully that answers some questions, if I missed anyone's question, please feel free to let me know :)

Also, as usual, I love reading all your sweet comments, and although I don't always have time to respond, please know that I do enjoy hearing from each one of you!

  4. How lovely the video is! And I am smiling at it - why? Because I live in Oxfordshire. In a small village about half an hour from Oxford itself.

The great parkland and palace building you see at the beginning of the video is Blenheim Palace. This place http://www.blenheimpalace.com/.

And if ever you find yourself in England I would be delighted to show you round :-)

  8. Lovely to hear Brooke Fraser! She's a Kiwi girl and we're very proud of her in New Zealand.

  11. Hi Rosie~Such wonderful photo's. Your hair and dress remind me of the 1940's. I love old movies! I just got a Nook and Kindle for my birthday. I remember a post on your blog saying that you really loved reading books on the Kindle. There are so many free ones. My husband and I gave away most of our books and now have a little more room in our small house. I homeschool so we have a few shelves for those. Are you still using it? Or have you switched back to actual books? God bless, Rose
