::enjoying::

:: remembering being out and about town with Joe {who had camera in hand}, last Sunday.
Sunshine, ice cream cones, and a trip to our dark, old fashioned, hole-in-a-wall movie theater to watch the latest Bourne movie.

::an excellent (and also rather old), homy-ish post by Lanier.

::reading these wonderful words by Jim Elliot.

"It is true that our youth is fast fleeting, and I know the rush of wants, the perfect fury of desire which such a thought summons. All that it involves – this getting on to thirty – brings a push of hurry and a surge of “possible” regrets over the soul.

"This is just exactly what we have bargained for. Obedience involves for us, not physical suffering, perhaps, nor social ostracism as it has for some, but this warring with worries and regrets, this bringing into captivity our thoughts. We have planted (in our integrity) the banner of our trust in God. The consequences are His responsibility."

::the warm sunshine, birds singing, and a quiet afternoon, after a busy morning at work.

::re-watching old episodes of Downton Abbey.

::eating a marvelous concoction made out of wild mushrooms, new potatoes, onion, garlic, cherry tomatoes, eggs and a generous helping of parmesean cheese.

:: organizing, and sorting through my wardrobe, finding a lovely skirt, made long ago, and never worn~and then wearing it today {a beautiful rust colored linen}.

::a nice long walk this afternoon, through the fields.

::listening to birds singing.

::planning on eating a great big salad, made from baby greens, gorgonzola cheese, with balsamic dressing for dinner.

::watching just-born (as in last night) baby kids, frolic around their mothers.

  3. How delightful, Rosie! I'm missing those 'walks through the fields' these chilly days, but staying busy of course... Lovely to see your posts. I plan to post as well, once I've figured out photobucket. =)
